The concept of the first Aldborough Hall Farm Beer Festival was born when the Ha’Penny Brewing Company decided to base their operation at the farm early in 2008. Part of their business plan was to hold a beer festival once a year and this quickly grew into a full blown entertainment event with antiques and craft fairs, farmer’s market, live entertainment, activities for children and a range of catering.
Whether you are a beer connoisseur, an occasional drinker or a family looking for a day out in pleasant rural surroundings, there is something at the Aldborough Hall Farm Beer Festival for you. This year we will also be holding a Spring Festival on 23rd and 24th May, which although will have a Beer Tent with real ales and ciders as before will also have an Antiques Auction, plenty for children to do and live entertainment. Please see link for more information. The Event Rentals team behind the organisation of the event has a wealth of experience in organising both large and small events of this nature. Although from the feedback that we received last year’s festival was a success we have also listened to the few negative comments received and tried to improve where we can. We have reduced the admission fee, will keep the music at a lower level until the evenings and replaced the Farmer’s market with one that will supply home produced goods, something that we were promised last year but did not materialise. We feel that these events can help to bring to Aldborough Hatch something that is so important these days i.e. a sense of community, and hope that it will become a focal point in the local calendar. We still aim to keep the event as ‘traditional and rural’ as possible and hope that it will be come a regular date in the diaries of both locals and visitors alike. Enjoy! |
